Identium® now also fast setting – Specifically for smaller restorations

In an effort to improve the best even more, Kettenbach has developed an entirely new impression material for the one-step impression technique: Vinylsiloxanether®.

Vinylsiloxanether® creates a synthesis from the characteristics of polyether and those of A-silicones. The brand family Identium®, which was based on this material and introduced two years ago, has now been extended to include the fast-setting product versions:

•    Identium® Medium Fast

•    Identium® Heavy Fast

•    Identium® Light Fast

Identium® Fast-set version – optimal for smaller restorations

Particularly in the case of single restorations (single crowns/ implants, three-unit bridges) dentists require an impression material, which in addition to the requirements of precision, flowability, hydrophilicity etc., also incorporates very short working and setting times.

The new Fast-set versions of Identium® provide the ideal solution for dentists: an intraoral working time of 40 seconds allows sufficient time for syringing in the patient’s mouth. The impression is then completed in 3:30 min. due to the short setting time of the new Fast-set versions. Valuable time for the practice routine.

Identium® - combines the best of two worlds

Based on the newly developed material Vinylsiloxanether®, Identium® provides excellent flowability, which in combination with an exceptional hydrophilicity (lowest achievable contact angle of less than 10° after 1 second) ensures optimal flow behavior, even in the narrowest of sulcus crevices. The high elastic properties of Identium® ensure dimensionally accurate recovery and easy removal (from the patient’s mouth and stone model). Identium® is also odorless and has a neutral taste.

The Fast-set versions, which are now available, complement the Identium® brand family with three fast-setting products that are ideal for taking impressions of single crowns/ implants and small bridges.
